Todd Cardin to Attend Funeral Directors Conference

(PRWEB) September 6, 2006 -- Toddd Cardin of Specialty Funeral Answering Service will attend this years National Funeral Directors Association meeting to be held in Philadelphia this October. Todd Cardin stated that his attendance at this years conference is more about strengthening relationships than it is about sales. This years convention will be held at The Philadelphia Convention Center and will feature some very prominent guests.

Vince Papale will be on hand. At age 30, Vince Papale became the oldest rookie in National Football League history when he went from school teacher and part-time bartender to a “walk-on” professional football player with the Philadelphia Eagles. His amazing story is being made into a Disney film, to be released in August 2006, starring Mark Wahlberg as Papale.

Todd Cardin told us that also in attendance will be James Earl Jones. His distinctive voice resonates as the voice of CNN, Darth Vader in the Star Wars movies, and King Mufasa in the Lion King, and his impressive work as an actor has made James Earl Jones one of the best known performers of stage, film, and television. Jones earned a Tony Award in 1959 for his role as a prizefighter in The Great White Hope and was nominated for an Academy Award in 1971 for reprising that role on the big screen. In 1991 he won two Emmys, as Best Actor in a Drama Series for Gabriel's Fire and Best Supporting Actor in Heat Wave. He has starred in numerous films, including Field of Dreams and The Hunt for Red October. In 1992 he was awarded the National Medal of Arts by President George H. W. Bush, and is the recipient of the prestigious NAACP Hall of Fame Image Award.

Sue Thomas will also speak at the convention. Sue Thomas, the person who inspired the PAX TV show “Sue Thomas, F.B. Eye,” suffered a sudden loss of hearing at 18 months and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis as an adult. Her amazing story of hope and dedication in overcoming obstacles is sure to touch people's hearts.

Todd Cardin has always felt that funeral directors are not only the best customers an answering service can have but the nicest people as well. Todd Cardin has been in the answering service business since 1985.
